Privacy Policy

Tradesman's AId ("the App") is a field service management application for trade professionals. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

• Account information: Email address and name when you sign up.
• Service call data: Customer names, addresses, work descriptions, voice notes, time entries, equipment records, and photos you create in the App.
• Voice recordings: Audio recorded through the App is sent to our servers for transcription and AI processing, then deleted from our servers after processing. Transcribed text is stored with your service call data.
• Camera and photos: The App uses your device camera for equipment nameplate scanning and photo documentation. Photos are processed by AI for data extraction and stored with your equipment or service call records.
• Device storage: The App stores your data locally on your device for offline access using an on-device database.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the core service: managing service calls, time tracking, customer records, and generating reports.
• To process voice recordings into structured data using AI transcription and language models.
• To scan equipment nameplates and documents using AI vision processing.
• To search for and download equipment service manuals on your behalf.
• To send service reports and quotes via email to your customers.
• To sync your data between your mobile device and the web dashboard.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

• Supabase: Database and authentication (hosted in the US).
• Cloudflare Workers: API hosting and processing.
• Deepgram: Voice-to-text transcription.
• Anthropic (Claude): AI processing for data extraction, chat assistance, and document analysis.
• Resend: Email delivery for service reports and quotes.
• Google Places API: Address lookup and business information.
• Firecrawl / SerpAPI: Searching for equipment service manuals.

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Voice recordings are processed and deleted from our servers immediately after transcription. All other data (service calls, customers, equipment records) is retained until you delete it or close your account.

Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication uses industry-standard token-based security. Your data is isolated from other users via row-level security policies in our database.

Your Rights

• You can view, edit, and delete your data at any time through the App or web dashboard.
• You can request a full export of your data by contacting us.
• You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email.
